Once again, the National Bank of Belgium is taking part in the Heritage Days, organized by Urban Brussels. This is a unique opportunity for our institution to share its heritage with the public. This year’s edition highlights the Hotel of the Governor — one final time before a major restoration campaign begins. This 19th-century city palace was the official residence to the governors of the National Bank and their families for nearly a century. Normally closed to the public, the building will exceptionally host FREE guided tours to let you discover this gem of Brussels heritage.
The aim is not only to showcase the building but also to highlight its rich history. Original architectural plans, archive documents, vintage menus, the guestbook, historical tableware and silverware will be on display.
Would you like to visit this exceptional piece of banking heritage? Join us on the weekend of September 20 and 21, from 10 AM to 6 PM. Throughout the day, free 30-minute guided tours will be offered in French, Dutch, and English.
Reservation is required and can be made via the Heritage Days website (open on September 11, 2025). Be quick — spots fill up fast every year!
We look forward to welcoming you!
