Support Brussels Museums and play an active part in developing the accessibility and visibility of our Brussels museums, preserving their tangible and intangible heritage and defending their interests.

For 30 years now, as a federation, we have been fighting for the visibility of Brussels museums and the influence of culture at local, national and international levels. Our aim is to attract new audiences through events, training and city passes.

The ​‘Brussels Museums Friends’ bring together those who are passionate about museums and their collections, those who are curious, those who enjoy unique experiences and those who defend Brussels’ heritage.

I would like to become a Brussels Museums Friend. What do I do?

It couldn’t be simpler: choose the option that suits you best (Sapphire, Emerald, Gold), make your payment via the Paylogic window or by bank transfer and send us an email to info@​brusselsmuseums.​be with your contact details and the words ​‘Brussels Museums Friends’ + your name + the option you have chosen, so that we can send you a confirmation:

How long is my card valid?

The Brussels Museums Friend card is valid for one year from the date of payment.

I’ve lost or mislaid my card. Is it possible to obtain a duplicate?

To obtain a duplicate of your card, please send us a declaration of loss and a stamped envelope with your full name and address.

I have been offered the Brussels Museums Friend card. What are the benefits?

How will my donation be used?

By supporting us, you will enable us to continue our mission of supporting museums, promoting their collections and making them accessible and sustainable, whatever the package you choose. 

Our mission:

  • To connect museums through meetings, training and the exchange of best practice, and to provide an information relay on current events in the sector; 
  • To represent and defend the interests of the sector by being a key contact1, studying its impact and issues2; 
  • Raise the profile of museums by organising events for the general public and communication initiatives such as Museum Night Fever and Les Nocturnes; 
  • Helping museums become more accessible, inclusive and sustainable through the Open Museum and Green Museum projects. 
  • Providing museums with the knowledge they need to better organise, conserve and make their extensive and diverse collections accessible to a wider public, thanks to the Re-org project.
