With its 18.000 species of plants this is one of the most important plant collections in the world.

The internationally renowned botanic garden situated just north of Brussels, it hosts a variety of tropical plants in a Plant Palace as well as the largest greenhouse in Belgium and a magnificent historic 92-hectare park.The Meise Botanic Garden is a centre of excellence for research on tropical and European botany taking advantage of the largest herbaria in the world.Furthermore, the garden contributes to plant conservation, protecting as many plants as possible in their natural environments in partnership with many national and international botanic gardens and conservation organisations.
