Becoming a Member of Brussels Museums
That means joining a federation that brings together more than 125 members, benefiting from extensive sector expertise, taking part in networking opportunities and participating in our flagship initiatives: Museum Night Fever, Nocturnes, Open Museum, Green Museum, as well as joining the Brussels Card and Art Nouveau Pass offer…
Would you like to join our federation as an effective member or a partner member?
Here’s how to proceed:
A. Criteria
Check that your organisation meets these 4 minimal criteria
- a permanent character
- a non-profit basis
- open to the public
- located in one of the 19 municipalities of the Brussels-Capital Region

If your organistaion meets these criteria, contact us at didier@brusselsmuseums.be
We will be pleased to arrange an introductory meeting to get to know each other and discuss the objectives of our respective organisations.
C. Application
To submit an application, please send us by email:
- your organisation’s statutes, as published in the Belgian Official Gazet
- an identification form (a template will be sent beforehand)
- a motivation letter (explaining why you wish to become a member
- a sample of the materials available to your visitors
Please note: your application file must reach us no later than 31 December of the current year.
D. Review
Once we receive your application, it will be reviewed by our Board. TTwo board members will then schedule a visit to your organisation.
The report of this visit will be presented at our statutory General Assembly in April. Your application will then be submitted to a vote by the members present or represented.
