In Sweet Spot, five performers and a fiddler reimagine the leikarring, a traditional Norwegian circle dance. In this whirlwind choreography, bodies tilt, collide and transform as Nordic folklore becomes a playground for imagination and dissonance, and wandering folk figures enter a sweeping ritual. The Belgian premiere of Sweet Spot, which concludes Harald Beharie’s Trilogy, continues their exploration of bodies in continuous tension, where pleasure, excess and the monstrous become sources of community and strength. Sweet Spot was created with artist Karoline Bakken Lund, lighting designer Ingeborg Staxrud Olerud, composer Ingvild Langgård and musician Ester Thunander. Presented for the first time alongside Batty Bwoy and the Belgian premiere of Undersang, it offers a rare opportunity to experience Beharie’s full Trilogy across different spaces in and around Kanal.
