In the 1920s, the Flemish painter-farmer Felix De Boeck (1898−1995) laid out the foundations for Belgian abstract art; his oeuvre now forms the point of departure for the FeliXart Museum.

On a rare piece of green in the outskirts of Brussels - once owned by De Boeck himself - art, heritage and nature are authentically connected. One museum, two accents: FeliXeco, the exterior part of the museum that stretches out over the enormous domain, with emphasis on ecology; FeliXart, the interior part, with focus on the arts. The museum presents historical and contemporary avant-garde art in varying exhibitions, placing the work of the abstract painter - and that of his contemporaries in a new perspective.
