The?Bozar?all over the P(a)lace in May, last of the season, draws inspiration from two sources: the super-mediatic Queen Elisabeth Competition, which is in full swing, and the spotlight on cello it gives this year, notably by paying tribute to one of its most humanistic performers, Pablo Casals. On the sidelines of this major national classical music event, the evening at Bozar?stands on the side of the competition!
While the Bellezza e?Bruttezza exhibition remains open throughout the evening, in homage to the instrument “that comes closest to the human voice,”?Bozar?is pleased to invite multi-instrumentalist, singer, and model damsel?Elysium in her evocation of performer and cellist Charlotte?Moorman. damsel Elysium will be accompanied by abi asisa on the cello for a composition by Daniel Glenn Padgett.
Throughout the evening,?The?23 will present short films showcasing the great inspirational value of the cello, from music to performance, and a DJ set by abi asisa will be set up in the Horta Hall.
