Fearlessly inventive and gloriously theatrical, Rosalie Cunningham stands among the most distinctive voices in British rock. A multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter of rare imagination, she first turned heads with her acclaimed bands Purson and Ipso Facto before launching her solo career in 2019 with a Mercury Prize-nominated debut on Cherry Red’s Esoteric Antenna label. The record’s success — Top 10 in the UK Independent Albums Chart and lauded by The Times, Uncut, Classic Rock and Shindig! — announced the arrival of a bold new creative force.
Since then, Rosalie’s magnetic live shows have lit up stages across the UK and Europe, including several extensive tours and festival highlights such as Sweden Rock, Cropredy, Herzberg and Woodstock Forever. Her high energy live band of 4 virtuoso musicians lends a harder, bombastic edge to Rosalie’s diverse back catalogue. Expect real Hammond organ and swirling Leslie duelling with lysergic twin lead guitars, driving fuzz bass, 4 part harmonies and flute! ‘Live at Acapela’, released in December 2023 via Machine Elf Records, captured some of that magic and led to Rosalie being named PROG Magazine’s Female Vocalist of the Year.
With her third solo album, ‘To Shoot Another Day’, released in November 2024, she continued to push her musical vision into thrilling new territory — a celebration of fearless artistry, rich storytelling, and imagination that make her one of rock’s most captivating performers. Taking this album on her most extensive touring schedule to date, Rosalie and the band performed 121 shows across 19 countries, selling out shows in Spain, France, Germany Sweden and the UK.
This autumn she returns to Europe for her ‘Breaking The Fourth’ tour. The set is to feature, for the very first time, songs from her upcoming album ‘Rosalie’s Fourth’, as well as favourites from her 3 previous albums and Purson days. Baroque n’Roll baby!
