Object Encounter (30 min)
Get close to an object of your choice from the Design Museum Brussels collections.
Object Encounter is a unique experience offered by the Design Museum Brussels during its Nocturne. Enjoy a special moment with an object from our collections, just for you and a guest. Accompanied by a member of our team, you will be able to observe, learn more about, and even handle the object of your choice, brought straight from our storage.
This initiative transforms the museum experience, bringing objects out of our storage to allow closer examination, discussion, and inspiration. A unique moment to connect with our collections.

Discovery tours (45 min)
With a guide, let yourself be transported into the world of the Cristalleries du Val Saint-Lambert and Studio Crystal through the creations that marked the period from the 1958 World’s Fair to the early 2000s. Or explore the evolution of children’s furniture throughout the 20th century, from children’s bedrooms to school furniture, as well as the pop aesthetic of the 1960s up to today.
Outreach Projects
During the Semaine d’Innovation Pédagogique organised by the Faculty of Architecture La Cambre-Horta, Bachelor’s and Master’s students explored new approaches to make the Plasticotek, the museum’s materials library, more accessible to the public by engaging different senses (hearing, touch, sight). Come discover the prototypes of the projects realised during the workshop.
This nocturne is the perfect way to wrap up the day and kick off the evening. So get ready for a fun-filled evening full of discoveries at the Design Museum Brussels.
