The Autrique House, Victor Horta’s first building of note, is of major importance in the architectural heritage of Brussels.

This house built in 1893 marks an essential stage in the development of the greatest of Belgian architects and provides a better understanding of the birth of Art nouveau. The scenography designed by Schuiten and Peeters makes this residence – as it once was – an outstanding house, simultaneously a tribute to the private architecture of Brussels and a gateway to an imaginary world.
