As part of the Through the eyes of programme, external personalities offer their personal views on the exhibitions of the Design Museum Brussels. On 25.05.2025, Design Museum Brussels invites you to discover the temporary exhibition Skateboard through the eyes of Pierre Jambé, former Belgian champion and skatepark designer.

About Pierre Jambé
Former Belgian skateboard champion, now skatepark designer, Pierre Jambé was a competitive skateboarder from 1987 to 1993. In 1987, he won the Brazilian skateboard championship in the mini-ramp and street categories. From 1989 to 1993, he ranked in the top 3 in Belgium in the vertical and street categories, and 3rd at the European championships in Eindhoven. In 1991, he received a skateboard pro model” in collaboration with wholesaler Transind and the Vision brand, and designed his first skateparks (Brussels bowl, Chez Zelle mini-ramp, etc.). In 2002, he was one of the founding members of the Collectif BRUSK/​Skateboarders asbl, behind the Ursulines skatepark (Brussels). From 2011 to 2018, he worked as a freelancer in Peru, Brazil and Europe under the name Doctor Skatepark, in collaboration especially with Rio Ramp Design and Concrete Flow Skateparks. In 2018, together with Julien Bouvier and Léo Bréchet, he founded Antidote Skateparks, a company that designs and builds skateparks in France and Belgium.
