Juliette and Carmen, two intrepid sisters aged 4 and 8, open a portal, with a sigh of boredom, into the world of their favourite book, The Kingdom of Winds. Transformed into cats, they set off to meet Sirocco, the terrible master of winds and storms… Will he be as terrifying as the books suggest?
Benoît Chieux is a French director, scriptwriter and animator. Known for his work with the studio Folimage, he has distinguished himself as an art director, set designer, animator and scriptwriter. After leaving Folimage, he directed his first short film, Tigers Tied Up in One Rope, produced by Films de l’Arlequin. Two other short films would follow: Midnight’s Garden, nominated for a César in 2018 and Melting Heart Cake in 2019. Sirocco and the Kingdom of Wind, his first feature film, won the Audience Award at the Annecy Festival in 2023.
