Puppet Fantasy recreates the emotion and beauty of Korean culture using puppets. This play is like an omnibus, with each station presenting a different puppet form and technique”. (Ko Kyumi, Theater Sangsahwa). Wordless show. Ages 5 and up. As part of the KOREA Focus at the JEM Festival.

A show that marvels at the technique of string and rod puppets. A show of wonder for all those who admire the movement of the puppet in the most delicate of gestures, as in dance, or the laughter that appears as a mechanism metamorphosing into a bird.

In the words of artist Ko KYUMI, Puppet Fantasy’ recreates the emotion and beauty of Korean culture by puppet arts. This play is like an omnibus, with each station presenting a different puppet form and technique”. (Ko Kyumi, presentation of Puppet fantasy”).
The stations and encounters on offer include the ladybird, the dance of the heron (a bird adored by Asian cultures), the hip-hop of the grandfather, the dance of the angel, the puppet dance with the audience, and the dream of the flower.
