Pulcinella, the most famous Commedia dell’arte puppet, is in Brussels for the weekend. A feminist Pulcinella, taking up the cause of women! A Belgian premiere. With the traditional whistle (the pivetta). Lovers of glove puppets and Italian puppetry, come on down!

As a result of a new abuse, all the women on Earth have ended up on the Moon. Pulcinella, not wanting to lose her beloved Teresina, tries to join her, and so finds herself living the dangerous condition of too many women.
A violent thug in search of love, the Law and Death persecute Pulcinella even after she has become a woman. But Pulcinella manages to fly to the Moon, where the people of Earth seem sad, poor and hungry.
The show develops Guarattelle’s repertoire to tell the story of gender violence and the difficult relationship between the roles played by men and women, through Pulcinella, which has always symbolised the harmony of opposites.

With the support of the Wallonie-Bruxelles federation, the Image de Bruxelles, the Loterie Nationale, Ixelles District and in co-production with the Centre Culturel Italien de Bruxelles.
