Struggle Care Joy is a 2025 – 26 development trajectory initiated by La Candidate Sans-Papiers. This alliance of collectives brings together activists, researchers and artists in dialogue and explores intersections between care, work, migration, feminism and social justice, centring the experiences, knowledge and struggles of women care workers.

This project emerged from encounters and artistic experiments with Anna Rispoli and La Candidate Sans-Papiers, fostering mutual empowerment and new imaginaries at the intersection of art and activism. In February 2027, Kanal hosts the two-day Summit of the Alliance: a public gathering to consolidate the knowledge, stories and artistic processes developed throughout the project. The summit will provide space for direct exchange, artistic interventions and collective imagining of the future of care, labour and solidarity in Europe. The full programme will be announced closer to the event.
