A puppet and music (Rembetiko)… The movements and the story bring back many memories. Sing rather than speak. Wordless performance. 30′ From 5 years.

Rembetiko” is a musical genre created in the 1920s in Greece by folk musicians and Greek immigrants from Turkey. The lyrics deal with themes of love, joy and sadness, but also reflect the lifestyle of a marginalised subculture. This is why rembetiko was banned for many years before becoming popular and widely accepted.
Jovan, a contemporary Rembeti, is the hero of the show. He prepares his coffee and begins to play his beloved bouzouki. This is Jovan’s daily routine, but this time events take an unexpected turn, revealing his unconventional, rebellious character and his underlying passion for rock music. Having honed his animation technique through his street performances, Jovan is in constant interaction with the audience.
audience. He feels that the audience understands his personality better than the two mysterious men dressed in black behind him. And that, no matter how much time passes, there’s always a reason to rebel.
