Ivonne González, an Afro-Cuban lawyer, singer and dancer, is the driving force behind the Noircir Wikipedia project. The aim of this multilingual project is to remedy the lack of references, articles and information about Africa and its diaspora on Wikipedia, as well as their culture and notable personalities. It also emphasises respect for sources and the fight against historical bias. Awarded a prize by Wikimedia France in 2023, this project is part of an inclusive approach aimed at ensuring a plural representation of humanity.
