Forget everything you expect from a museum visit. BILDYin creates a vibrant space within Kanal where visitors, artists and local residents come together to reflect, make and showcase their work. Participation runs as a common thread through the programme, which features workshops, performances, an exhibition and much more.

BILDYin builds on Bildy, the long-running neighbourhood project by artist Einat Tuchman that originated in Molenbeek. It embodies what the world needs more of: connection, dialogue and collective imagination. Step into an immersive environment featuring an exhibition of practices, where archive and visual material come together with the creative process of local artists and craftspeople.
If you’d like to get involved yourself, join an exchange dinner, take a dance class, take part in a performance or lend a hand in the collective soup kitchen. Perhaps you’ll even sign up for a creative youth programme or join a discussion on pressing social issues.
BILDYin concludes with Urban Ritual, a participatory performance in Kanal’s public spaces, in which movement, music and shared presence combine to create a temporary space of connection. The BILDY community blurs the boundaries between audience and performers and invites everyone to join in through simple gestures and actions, bringing the streets of Kanal to life together.
