MASTER BOOT RECORD (aka MBR) is a Computer Metal project founded in 2016 by producer Vittorio D’amore mixing together heavy metal and synthesized electronic music.
Starting in 2016 releasing albums under the indie chiptune/demoscene label Data Airlines has moved in 2018 to Blood Music to expand its audience to the electronic scene. In 2019 MASTER BOOT RECORD settled with Metal Blade Records, the historic metal label based in Los Angeles to release the latest two albums “Floppy Disk Overdrive (2020)” and “Personal Computer(2022)” helping the project to gain increased popularity worldwide. MBR has also produced the video game “VirtuaVerse” as well as its original soundtrack. VirtuaVerse was released in 2020 on all gaming platforms as well as Nintendo Switch, Xbox and Playstation.
The project as a live band increased their live activity in 2022 including live performing artists such as the guitar virtuoso and Ibanez endorser Edoardo Taddei at lead guitars and technical death metal drummer Giulio Galati.
MBR released 14 albums so far with multiple record labels and has been one of the most successful musicians on US digital distribution platform Bandcamp charting #1 in general charts several times. Because of that Bandcamp often featured the albums and made interviews directly with the artist.
In 2024 – 2025, MASTER BOOT RECORD expanded globally with the release of “Hardwarez” (Metal Blade Records, October 2024), followed by an extensive world tour across North America, Canada, the UK, and Europe between September and November 2024, totaling more than 40 shows.
The band recently toured as support for the french electronic metal band Igorrr across Europe and is confirmed to perform at more European festival such as Brutal Assault, Mystic Festival, Motocultor, Arc Tangent and more to be announced.
Fulci
Where death metal collides with cult horror cinema, Fulci creates sonic nightmares inspired by the legendary films of Lucio Fulci.
Fulci is not just a death metal band, it’s a cinematic horror experience. Taking their name from the legendary “Godfather of Gore,” Lucio Fulci, the band merges their two deepest passions: death metal and horror cinema.
Deeply inspired by the blood-soaked imagery and atmosphere of Lucio Fulci’s films, the band pays homage to the maestro by crafting concept albums that channel his vision into extreme music.
With four full-length albums and a live session already released, several reaching their sixth reissue, Fulci has carved out a unique space in the international death metal scene. Their relentless touring has taken them across the United States as both headliners and tour support for icons like I Am Morbid, Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse, and Municipal Waste, while in Europe they have crushed major festivals including Party.San, Brutal Assault, and Obscene Extreme. Currently signed to 20 Buck Spin Records, Fulci stands at the forefront of modern death metal.
A Fulci live show is more than a concert, it’s a horror movie brought to life. Through immersive video projections, chilling lights, eerie synthesizers, and theatrical staging, their performances blur the line between stage and screen. In September 2023, the band premiered their first short film and original soundtrack with a special performance inside a movie theater, further pushing the boundaries of metal and cinema.
Beyond music, Fulci maintains a creative partnership with the fashion powerhouse Slam Jam, producing exclusive events, products, and performances. Their impact has earned recognition from heavyweights like Max Cavalera, filmmaker Eli Roth, and Dwid Hellion, while KERRANG! Magazine named them among the “50 Bands That Revitalized Death Metal in the Last 10 Years” securing the #35 spot on the list.
Fulci is more than a band. It’s gore. It’s horror. It’s death metal redefined.
arottenbit
From the violence of HARDCORE PUNK concerts to the heaviness of SLUDGE METAL, all the way to the hallucinatory state of certain dawns spent dancing at the worst TECHNO afterparties with a pounding bass. In an opulent age where everything is consumed quickly, arottenbit blends genres using an obsolete tool, an old NINTENDO GAME BOY rescued from the trash. A children’s toy, now used to awaken the nightmares of adults.
“If punk taught us that you don’t need to know how to play an instrument to make music, today we learn that you don’t even need to own a musical instrument to make music!”
From 70 to 240 bpm on a heavy and furious journey, encompassing all the influences that a metropolis can offer during its darkest nights. arottenbit is an experimental music project founded in 2008 in Milan by Italian sound engineer Alessandro “Otto” Galli. With a radical approach to electronic music, it blends chiptune, sludge metal, techno, and hardcore punk, transforming the Game Boy into a sonic weapon that obliterates any notion of nostalgia.
Since 2025, the live project has taken on the name AROTTENBIT DRUMS COMMANDO, featuring two drummers: Riccardo Nicoloso (SLUG GORE) and Edoardo Nicoloso (FULCI), brothers who alternate behind the kit to deliver a new level of devastating impact, further amplifying the power and physicality of the show.
Driven by the urge to push chiptune beyond its traditional boundaries, Otto founded arottenbit, contaminating it with extreme and industrial sounds. His background as a sound engineer led him to collaborate with internationally renowned artists such as Deafheaven, Earth, Messa, Pallbearer, and Truckfighters, shaping his experimental approach to music production.
Despite being active live since 2008, arottenbit’s first official album, “You Don’t Know What Chiptune Is”, was released only in 2024, after years of demos and intense live performances. Meanwhile, arottenbit carved its path through hundreds of shows, building a reputation for high-energy performances that captivated both audiences and industry professionals.
arottenbit’s electrifying live energy led to three European tours alongside Master Boot Record, as well as numerous gigs in major clubs and international festivals, including Roadburn, Hellfest, and Brutal Assault. Throughout its career, the project has shared the stage with Melvins, Atari Teenage Riot, Melt-Banana, Full of Hell, Sanguisugabogg, and HORSE the Band, among many others.
arottenbit continues to evolve and challenge the boundaries of electronic music, creating a visceral and immersive experience that resonates with audiences worldwide. With every performance, the project proves that chiptune can be as heavy and intense as any extreme genre.
