Post-rock instrumental aux envolées complexes et cinématographiques

MONO, the Tokyo-based instrumental rock quartet formed in 1999, have spent over two decades crafting a unique fusion of rock and classical music, earning worldwide acclaim for their deeply emotional, cinematic sound — once described by NME as music for the Gods.”

Renowned for their powerful live performances, the band has toured extensively across more than 60 countries, often presenting immersive shows with orchestras, including landmark performances in cities like New York, London, and Tokyo. Their ability to translate raw emotion into sweeping, dynamic soundscapes has made them one of the most captivating live acts in the world.

Beyond the stage, MONO have built a rich body of work spanning over a dozen albums and numerous film scores, receiving international recognition and awards along the way. Invited by Robert Smith of The Cure to headline London’s Meltdown Festival, they have shared stages with artists such as My Bloody Valentine, Nine Inch Nails, Mogwai, and Deftones.

Following Pilgrimage of the Soul (2021) and their 25th anniversary album OATH (2024), MONO continue to evolve with Snowdrop, set for release in June 2026 — a deeply moving new chapter shaped by loss, resilience, and a radiant sense of hope.
