A lyrical quest for balance between humans and nature. Klára and Pavel live in harmony with the Czech countryside: she hunts those poisoning birds of prey, he restores wetlands and mows by hand. Their struggle seems futile, yet the film – carried by wind, birdsong and earth – asks a vital question: can we still restore the balance we’ve lost?
Tomáš Elšík (b. 1986) is a Czech director and editor. A graduate of FAMO and FAMU, he debuted with a portrait of Tel Aviv’s bus station (2018), awarded at Ji.hlava. He also works as a dramaturge, designs exhibitions and is a carpenter.
