Meet the Thinker: James Bridle

  • Others

James Bridle is a writer, artist and technologist working to develop agency, both individually and together, in the face of uncertain futures. Their work, including the critically acclaimed book Ways of Being, looks at how we think and act in a world where not only humans, but also technologies, plants and animals play an active role. From coding to carpentry, from AI to the intelligence of living beings, Bridle seeks practical approaches to art and life which re-orient us towards a fairer, more regenerative world.
This talk is presented in the context of the exhibition Ho Tzu Nyen. P for Power, which explores current political and philosophical challenges head-on, namely how artificial intelligence shapes artistic practice.
