Last year, the successful Bozar Rooftop, run by Pali Pali, welcomed 6,000 visitors who enjoyed the rooftop and its events created by 150 artists and collectives over a 3-month period. This year, Pali Pali is going even bigger. The rooftop will be open continuously from May 15 to September 28, Wednesday to Sunday, from 4 PM to 11 PM. The venue will offer a 100% Belgian program and partners, with a variety of events combining culture, music, and social connection.
The theme of this year’s scenography is “The Forest in the Sky”: an invitation to transform the building’s dry, mineral rooftop into a suspended, lively, vibrant landscape. Conceived by the [21-28]°C collective, Aboutt and landscape gardeners Plant en Houtgoed.
A rich and dynamic program
This year’s programming takes the form of a vibrant journey through reflection, relaxation, and conviviality, with new formats added. You’ll be able to enjoy concerts, stand-up comedy, shows, and performances, attend conferences, and take part in themed evenings and mini-festivals. There will also be a special echo of the exhibition When We See Us. And of course, there’s something for the little ones too: family activities and kids’ parties are planned so that everyone can enjoy the rooftop.
Artists from across Belgium
Collectives from Brussels, Ghent, Antwerp, and Liège will be featured. Come and discover the plateform 21 am, the feminist collective Game Ovaire Midnight Voodoo, as well as Grow Collectif, Fortune Collective, and many more. The DJ sets and collectives will guide us through a broad range of genres: from jazz and soul to pop, disco, electro, rock, Latino, and R&B – something for everyone throughout the summer.
An accessible space for all
Access to events remains free, with a bar offering affordable prices and a diverse food selection. Throughout the season, Brussels-based brewery BBP (Brussels Beer Project) will be on tap throughout the season, offering a great selection of local craft beers.
