A world-famous matador travels from arena to arena to come face to face with vengeful bulls. The physical pain, gushing blood and loud cheers of the audience during a fight are in sharp contrast to the spiritual resilience and solitude in his hotel room. To have a unique insight into the rich tradition of bullfighting, director Albert Serra followed the matador and his entourage for three years. The documentary film Tardes de Soledad (Afternoons of Solitude) won the Golden Shell at the San Sebastián Film Festival in 2024.
