ULB - Museum of medicine

Medical instruments, archeological objects, paintings and anatomic models describe the history of medicine from Antiquity until now.

Created in 1995, this museum bridges the gap between medicine and art. It presents visitors with a heritage constituted of archaeological objects, works of art as well as ancient medical tools and instruments that illustrate the long evolution of the art of healing through space and time. The museum also houses multiple anatomical waxes from grand medicine museums of the past century which illustrate the most diverse diseases… In fact, an entire venue is even devoted to venereal diseases and reserved to a well-informed audience.
