ULB - Michel de Ghelderode Library-Museum

The complete collection of works by Brussels' playwright Michel de Ghelderode, including books, bookbindings, art objects and curiosities.

The library of Schaerbeek dramatist Michel de Ghelderode (1898-1962), which keeps more than 1.000 works and hundreds of literary magazines, is carefully preserved in its original state and presented in a reconstituted study of the writer’s workplace. This small meticulous museum shines by the abundance of works of art and unusual objects immersing the visitor into a Ghelderodian universe: a fascinating mix of sulfur and incense.
