In a very charming location a few exquisite examples of the Belgian and European art scene are being exhibited: Wouters, Lautrec, Alechinsky, Toulouse-Lautrec, Magritte and Panamarenko.

Privileged place for culture, the Ixelles Museum greatly contributes to the reputation of Brussels thanks to the great quality of its collections particularly rich in works of Belgian art of the 19th, 20th and 21st century (a period that corresponds to the history of Belgian modern art). Multidisciplinary, the collections of the museum provide a wide overview of the movements of the 19th and 20th century: Impressionism, Expressionism, Fauvism, Abstraction or Surrealism are illustrated in creations of internationally famous artists alongside an important series of end of the century posters. The institution is also famous for the remarkable temporary exhibitions it organizes. CLOSED FOR RENOVATIONS AND EXPANSION The Ixelles Museum is undergoing expansion and renovation work: reopening is planned for 2025.
