This museum houses the dressing room of the country’s most famous little statue: a wardrobe to be proud of!

In this museum, you can admire some 150 costumes of the most famous Brussels statue! His fantastic costume collection is of course much larger and contains more than 1000 costumes. To protect the costumes, they cannot all be exhibited at the same time. But thanks to the pop-up windows, with a different theme each time, you can discover the costumes in a different way. The interactive database, in which the entire collection can be consulted, completes your visit. And the collection keeps growing! Manneken-Pis receives 20 to 30 new costumes a year. After an official presentation and decoration by the fountain, the new costume enters the museum collection. It is then displayed in the museum until the next costume arrives. The costumes come from all over the world and are exhibited by theme. It is certain that, in the 18th century, the statue would change its costume four times a year. Manneken-Pis is undeniably part of Brussels’ cultural heritage. Together with the Atomium and Saint Michael, he is one of the most famous symbols of our capital.
