Jewish Museum of Belgium

Collection of objects, documents and books relating to traditional Jewish life.
The Jewish Museum of Belgium permanently exhibits a number of items, documents and books relating to the Jewish religion and traditions throughout the world; art is also prominently displayed. The synagogue, celebrations and rites of passage are the three main topics developed in the permanent exhibition known as Trésors de la Vie juive . In addition, the institution also organises temporary exhibitions on a regular basis highlighting its splendid collections on various subjects. Accessible to the public, the museum also strives to promote Judaism and its view of the world, further offering an overview of its impact on Western civilisation.

!!! Following the murderous attack on 24/05/2014, the museum is closed.
On September 14, 2014, the European Day of Jewish Culture, the museum will open  its doors again !!!
