Maurice Carême Museum
The work and personality of the poet Maurice Carême (1899 - 1978) in his environment.
This museum-house gives the possibility to discover the environment of one of the most famous Belgian poets and offers a faithful depiction of the author through several archives. Having become a poet of childhood in the French-speaking world as a whole, his work is also aimed at an adult audience. In his house, several works of art catch one's attention: furniture of that period, old china, paintings and drawings from famous artists (Paul Delvaux, Felix De Boeck, Marcel Delmotte, Luc De Decker, Léon Navez, Roger Somville, Jules Lismonde), sculptures, musical scores inspired by his work (Francis Poulenc, Darius Milhaud...), records and archives about the poet and his work.
